Services

We provide consultations and treatments for the following concerns:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles are one of the most noticeable signs of ageing. As we grow older, our skin naturally undergoes changes that can lead to the development of these lines and creases. While they are a normal part of the aging process, fine lines and wrinkles can contribute to a perception of aging and may impact one's self-confidence.

Fine lines typically refer to shallow, superficial lines that appear on the skin. They are often visible around areas of repetitive movement, such as the eyes (crow's feet) or mouth (smile lines). These lines develop due to the breakdown of collagen and elastin fibres in the skin, which provide structure and elasticity.

Wrinkles, on the other hand, are deeper creases that can be more pronounced and visible even when the face is at rest. They are often a result of a combination of factors including age-related collagen loss, repetitive facial expressions, sun damage, and lifestyle choices. Wrinkles commonly appear on the forehead, between the eyebrows (frown lines), and around the mouth (marionette lines).

While age is the primary factor contributing to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, there are other influential factors as well. Sun exposure is a major contributor to premature aging and can accelerate the development of fine lines and wrinkles. UV rays from the sun break down collagen and elastin fibres, leading to a loss of elasticity and the formation of wrinkles.

Other environmental factors, such as pollution and smoking, can also contribute to the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin, thereby exacerbating the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Lifestyle choices, such as a poor diet, lack of sleep, and high stress levels, can also impact the skin's ability to regenerate and maintain its youthful appearance. Cosmetic injectables

  • Facial balancing focuses on achieving symmetry and proportion in the face. It recognises that the ideal face is not necessarily perfectly symmetrical but rather balanced, where each feature harmonises with the others to create an aesthetically pleasing overall appearance.

Facial balancing takes into account various aspects of the face, including the shape and size of the nose, lips, chin, cheeks, and forehead, as well as the position of the eyes and eyebrows. It considers how these features interact with each other and their relationship to the underlying facial structure.

The goal of facial balancing is to enhance and optimise the natural beauty of an individual's face. It involves a comprehensive assessment by a skilled cosmetic professional who will evaluate the facial proportions and identify any areas that may be out of balance. Based on this analysis, a personalised treatment plan is developed to address the specific concerns and create a more harmonious facial appearance.

  • Volume loss is a natural part of the aging process that affects our facial appearance. As we age, we gradually lose fat, muscle, and bone density, leading to a loss of volume and a change in our facial contours. This can contribute to a tired, sunken, or aged appearance.

One of the key areas where volume loss is noticeable is in the cheeks. The loss of fat in this area can result in a hollowing effect, creating a sunken appearance. This can make the face appear gaunt and can also deepen the appearance of wrinkles and creases.

Volume loss can also impact the lips, causing them to lose fullness and appear thinner. The natural aging process can lead to a reduction in collagen and elastin, resulting in less volume and elasticity in the lips. This can contribute to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles around the lips.

In addition to the loss of volume, the downward descent of facial structures, such as the cheeks and jowls, can occur with age. This can result in sagging skin and the formation of jowls, contributing to a more pronounced appearance of aging.

  • Lacklustre skin is a common sign of aging, often characterised by a dull, rough, or uneven complexion. It occurs when the skin loses its natural radiance, resulting in a tired, aged, or unhealthy appearance. Lacklustre skin can affect anyone, but it is more prevalent among individuals as they age.

One of the primary causes of lacklustre skin is a slowdown in cell turnover. As we age, the natural processes that cause skin cell turnover gradually slow down. This means that dead skin cells can accumulate on the surface of the skin, blocking light from reflecting and leading to a dull appearance.

Exposure to environmental stressors, such as pollution and UV radiation, can also contribute to lacklustre skin. These stressors can damage collagen and elastin fibres, causing a loss of elasticity and radiance in the skin.

Hormonal changes that occur during menopause can also contribute to lacklustre skin. Decreased estrogen levels can result in a decrease in collagen production, leading to a decrease in skin thickness and density, and a more aged appearance.

Additionally, lifestyle factors, such as poor diet, dehydration, and smoking, can contribute to lacklustre skin. A lack of moisture in the skin can lead to dryness, flakiness, and a dull appearance, while nutrient-deficient diets can compromise skin health and vitality.

Dehydrated skin occurs when the skin lacks adequate moisture, resulting in a dry, flaky, and tight feeling. It is a common skin condition that can affect people of all ages, gender, and skin types, but it becomes more prevalent and pronounced as we age.

Dehydrated skin can have a significant impact on the aging process, as well as how the skin appears and feels. Here are some ways in which dehydration affects the skin and accelerates the ageing process:

    • Appearance of Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Dehydrated skin can make fine lines and wrinkles more visible. When the skin lacks hydration, it loses elasticity and plumpness, causing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to be more pronounced. Wrinkles that are normally subtle may become more apparent, leading to an aged appearance.

    • Dull and Lacklustre Skin: Dehydration can give the skin a dull and lacklustre appearance. When the skin is dehydrated, it lacks moisture, which affects its ability to reflect light. As a result, the skin may appear dull, tired, and less radiant.

    • Increased Sensitivity and Irritation: Dehydrated skin often becomes more sensitive and prone to irritation. The lack of moisture weakens the skin's natural barrier, making it more susceptible to environmental aggressors such as pollution and harsh weather conditions. This can result in redness, itchiness, and discomfort, further exacerbating the signs of ageing.

    • Uneven Skin Texture: Dehydrated skin can have an uneven texture, characterised by roughness, dry patches, and flakiness. These skin irregularities can make the skin appear older and less smooth.

    • Delayed Skin Healing: Dehydrated skin has a reduced ability to heal itself. It takes longer for the skin to repair itself from external damage or wounds, further contributing to the signs of ageing.

  • Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition characterised by excessive sweating beyond what is considered normal for physiological thermoregulation. It can affect various parts of the body, including the underarms, hands, feet, and face. Hyperhidrosis can be a chronic and distressing condition, impacting a person's quality of life and self-confidence.

Primary hyperhidrosis is the most common form and is believed to be related to overactive sweat glands. It often begins in adolescence or young adulthood and may have a genetic component. Secondary hyperhidrosis, on the other hand, is caused by an underlying medical condition or medication.

Excessive sweating can occur regardless of the external temperature or physical activity level, leading to increased perspiration and resulting in social discomfort, embarrassment, and even limitations in daily activities. It can adversely affect personal relationships, work performance, and emotional well-being.

  • Hay fever, also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis, is a common condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It is caused by an allergic reaction to pollen and can result in symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, sinus pressure, and itchy, watery eyes.

  • REJURAN® is an innovative product for dermal rejuvenation made of wild salmon polynucleotide (PN) DNA fragments, extracted using our proprietary DOT™️ technology (DNA Optimizing Technology).
